"Princess"

Sunday night we were getting ready to leave Mom Mom and Pa's house and Caitlin didn't have any pajamas. She had taken a bath and only had a t-shirt to wear home. We found this blanket for her to wrap up in. Matt's Great Grandma had made this blanket for him so it was very special. Daddy told her she looked like a "Princess" in the blankie so now that's what it's referred to as. She likes to wrap up in it every night before going to bed, how sweet! She actually let me take her picture with it which is extremely rare...she must really like it!
She's our Little Princess!!!!!!

Bzzzzzzzz

This is Caitlin's new Bumble Bee car that Mom Mom found for her. She loves playing around in it in the backyard. Hopefully some day she'll share it with Hunter.

WEEEEEEEEEE..................

Today was Family Picture Day. Caitlin enjoyed swinging at the park when Hunter was posing for his pictures. She was having a blast. I think the pictures will turn out good - thanks Tara!

Here's my little handsome Hunter man....doesn't he look like a stud with his sleeves rolled up??

New hat day and Playing in the park

What a big day! Caitlin and Hunter both got new hats that you can see them modeling (Caitlin liked to put hers on backwards) and Caitlin got to play at the park in our neighborhood. Hunter got to go too but he didn't have near as much fun sitting in the stroller. I only had to carry Caitlin home one block (no kicking and screaming thank goodness) until she would get back in the stroller. She wasn't happy about leaving, but there were no tears. Hunter and I were both thankful for that. And when we got home, daddy had made dinner for us so it was a great night.

The Past 2 Weeks.....

We have been on the go for the past couple of weeks. I can't believe it's been over 2 weeks since I updated the blog.
Hunter got sick for the first time last Tuesday and had to come home from the babysitter's because he had a fever. The poor guy was such a trooper. He had a fever for about 2 1/2 days and was a little congested, but still kept a smile on his face most of the time. He was up all night last Wednesday so Matt and I "camped" out in the basement so he wouldn't wake up Caitlin. This was, of course, right before Matt and I were supposed to go on a little vacation. We still got to go, just a day later because he was feeling much better. We headed up to Michigan for a relaxing weekend and got to catch up on some well needed sleep at Tom and Cathi's cabin. The four of us had a great time and we barely left their house. It was awesome having a fire outside and making smore's. We even got to watch some deer in their backyard and practice our upcoming hunting season plans. HA! We're so redneck!
While we were relaxing, Caitlin and Hunter stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Streit's for the long weekend. They had a great time, but Grandma and Pa needed lots of rest and sleep after the kids left. Watching them is definitely a 2 person job, but always entertaining!!!
Here's a couple random pictures:Look at this big guy, he looks so grown up:(
And here's our little "pistol", just look at that face. She is about to cause some trouble. But she's so darn sweet at the same time. I think she's got so much personality she doesn't know what to do with all of it!!
Hunter and Uncle Chris just hanging out!

Weekend Pictures

Here's just a couple pictures from the weekend. We didn't do anything fancy, but we had a great weekend spending lots of time with family and the weather was beautiful. Caitlin got some professional pictures taken on Sunday and I can't wait to see them!

Rollin'

Well, last night I got home with the kids and it was the normal 2 trips bringing everything into the house and then the next 20 minutes trying to unpack from the day. I got Hunter out of his car seat and layed him on a blanket in the living room. Caitlin was helping me round up some laundry to put in the washer because Hunter spits up on everything!! We get back into the living room and......
HUNTER HAD ROLLED OVER!!!!
I told Caitlin that we missed it, so she grabbed his leg and kept saying, "Roll, Roll" - so cute. I was bummed that I had missed this so I sat down with the kids to watch a little Barney and to play with Hunter. About 20 minutes later I got up to go to the bathroom and when I got back....
HUNTER HAD ROLLED OVER!!!!
So now I was just sad that my little baby is doing tricks and mommy was missing it! I didn't want to leave his side the rest of the night. Finally, later in the evening he ended up rolling over for everyone to see (Mommy, Daddy, Mom Mom, Pa and Caitlin)!! I'm not ready for him to be mobile. I want him to stay little (and in one place) for a while still.

Here's a few pictures from last nightHunter was pooped out from all his rolling!!

Could I interest you in some rice cereal???

Little Hunter Man got some rice cereal for the first time this week. I don't think he really knows how to eat it, but I'm hoping he gets the hang of it quickly. He doesn't seem to hate it, but he doesn't love it either. He's been spitting up a lot so I hope this helps settle his tummy. That's what the Dr. recommended. He looks really cute in the pictures at least!
At his 4 month doctor appointment (actually 4 1/2 months):
14 lbs. 3 oz. and 24 inches long
50% for weight, 20% for height (this was to be expected)

Class of 2001

Last weekend was my 10 year class reunion. We went back to Amboy and got to have a night out. We had a lot of fun and I got to see all my friends that I rarely get to see. I even got to partake in some adult beverages!!
