Baptism Day

Caitlin was baptized Sunday, December 27th in the middle of the snow storm. Uncle Chris is Caitlin's Godfather and Kelly Klein is her Godmother. Kelly is not in the picture because they weren't able to make it through the snow, but they were here in spirit. Meghan stood in as the "Proxy" (which is her new nickname). Caitlin did great on her Special Day!!

A Very Merry Christmas

Dad decided to put together his Xmas present (deer decoy) so it could greet all our guests. We're thinking about using it as our Xmas card picture next year..... or maybe not!

We had such a wonderful first Christmas as a family. Caitlin is already spoiled and will be able to wear a Ralph Lauren dress every day of the week now. Uncle Chris' love for plaid has rubbed off on her.

Merry Christmas at the Streit’s

What a wonderful weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Streit’s with the whole family.  We opened lots of presents, ate yummy food and were entertained by my nieces Megan and Holly.  Caitlin will be running around with them next year…hope she can keep up.

Big Day for a Big Girl

Caitlin went for her 2 month check-up today and her first shots. She still seems like a little peanut, but she weighs 11 lbs. 5 oz. She was smiling for the doctor and putting on quite a show for the nurses. She only cried for a couple of minutes after the shots and was smiling again by the time we got to the car. She is now sleeping a little more than 7 hours a night which makes mom very happy. She's growing up too fast. I think Santa will be visiting our house this year because she has been a very good girl!!!!

A Christmas Preview

What a perfect Christmas present. We've already gotten everything we wanted, a beautiful, healthy baby girl!!

A Fun Filled Thanksgiving/Birthday Party!

Caitlin Mae wore her favorite color (ok, maybe her mom's favorite color) on Thanksgiving. We went to Peoria to see the Cushings and Wilsons and then to Sublette to see the Streits and to celebrate Megan and Holly's 4th and 2nd birthdays. They are so cute and getting so big. They loved their princess dresses we got them.

My new and improved room!!

As a present from Uncle Whitey and Meghan, Loreen Mead came and painted Caitlin's room just how she wanted it. She loves looking around at everything!!

Caitlin's First Date

Caitlin had her first date with Henry Klein on Sunday. Maybe the next one will go better - Caitlin slept through the whole thing. What a cute couple!!!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Caitlin Mae Cushing was born Wednesday, October 14th at 11:59am. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. Both mommy and Caitlin are doing great. The family arrived home today and we couldn't be happier.

Now all we need is a baby!!! Two weeks to go and it's not looking like it's going to happen early.

19 days to go!!

So I have 2 1/2 weeks left before the little bambino arrives. I'm still feeling pretty good, but can get very uncomfortable sitting for an extended period of time. I guess that means the baby hasn't dropped much, so I'm working on that. (maybe jumping jacks will do the trick) ha ha.
The nursery is coming together with just a few things left to hang on the walls. Matt and I are both very excited about our new arrival and can't wait for everyone to meet him or her.
I have been 2 cm dilated for the past 2 weeks but they say I can stay that way for a month or more. If I get any further along, I will let everyone know. Stay tuned for nursery pictures. I promise I'll take some pictures this weekend.

I'm Spoiled!!!

What a fabulous shower thrown by Uncle Chris and Mom-Mom Cushing. Baby and I are blessed with wonderful friends and family. We got so many great things that will be used shortly. I have a feeling the baby will be with us in less than 3 weeks, but I will update everyone after my dr. appointment on Tuesday. Check back often for more updates. Another Great Shower!

I had another great shower thrown by my sister-n-law and aunt. So many wonderful people were there and I got lots of great things for Baby Cush.
