April 14......Boy or Girl??

Baby Cush #2 is tentatively scheduled to arrive on April 14th. The doctor told me I needed to induce around 38 weeks so I chose exactly 38 weeks, I'm not ready or anything:) The 14th is also a special day because Caitlin's birthday is on the 14th of October, Uncle Whitey's birthday is April 14th and it's also the same day that Matt proposed to me 5 years ago. Now that I say that, the baby will probably come early. I go in at midnight, so I have 24 hours to actually have the baby on April 14th. That better happen!!! At the appointment yesterday, I was 2 cm dilated already. I go again next week and get my last sonogram and check-up. Stay tuned for more baby cush updates. The next one could possibly tell the gender!!!! WISH ME LUCK!

Bobby and Cari's wedding was so much fun. Even being 34 weeks pregnant, I had such a great time. Everything was beautiful and the entire day couldn't have been nicer. It was fun that Matt and I both got to be in the wedding. After about 3 nights of partying, I'm ready to relax until this baby comes.

34 WEEKS

Baby #2 Update

So it's getting to be about that time. I went to the dr. yesterday for my 35 week check-up and she told me that I'm measuring fine and that things look great. She also told me that they will be inducing me around 38 weeks!!!! That's 3 weeks from now, around April 14th. I've had to take shots during my pregnancy and I have to be off of them for 24 hours before I can get an epidural (this is important to me!!) I guess it's a new recommendation to do this at 38 weeks, it's just the first Matt and I had heard her say this. So of course I thought I was ready to have this baby anytime, now we've got a lot to do in a short amount of time!!! Stay tuned for belly pictures....

Proud to be a Big Sister......soon!

Last week Caitlin went to the dr. with me for the first time, of course wearing her new big sister shirt. She got to visit the girls at mommy's work first. She did great at my appointment and was very intrigued listening to the baby's heartbeat. She was a big hit with the nurses and she wanted to follow the doctor around.
The baby's heartrate has ranged from 135 to 185 since my first appointment so it's hard to predict what sex the baby will be. A lot of people have told me I'm carrying lower which means boy, but we can't be certain yet. Either way, we've got names picked out and are ready whenever the baby decides to come.
I start going to the dr. every week now so I'll try to keep everyone updated. It never seems like a great opportunity to get a picture of my belly but I'm sure I'll get plenty of pictures next weekend when Matt and I are both in our friend's wedding.

Catching up...... 17 months

Tomorrow Caitlin will be 17 months old. I know it's been a long time since I updated the blog and I'm not exactly sure where the month of February went. It started with the terrible snow storm we got and we were stuck in the house for a couple of days. Then we were home again when our ENTIRE family got sick, starting with Caitlin. That is how we all spent our Valentine's Day.
Caitlin is getting excited about her new brother/sister arriving soon (around 6 weeks to go)!! She frequently kisses mommy's tummy and tries to say "baby." She even helped daddy put the new crib together.
She is a joy to be around but she's started getting a little attitude every once in a while. She's shown us some mild tantrums which were eye opening but they only last a very short time. She loves to chase Pete around the house and calls his name constantly.
Most of the time, she's giving hugs and kisses to mommy and daddy, her babies, Peter and everything else in sight. I'm trying to enjoy our last weeks together as much as possible before the new baby arrives.

Happy Birthday Mom Mom

We helped Mom Mom Cushing celebrate her birthday on February 1st. Well it was actually that weekend because her birthday was the same day we got 15 inches of snow and we couldn't even make it 2 miles to get to her house. We were thinking about her though:)

Kristen Streit turned 1 on February 4th. We had fun helping her celebrate her birthday. Happy Birthday to Grandpa Streit on the same day too!!

Technical Difficulties

So after weeks of not updating the blog, I went to download some pictures and realized I have lost my power cord for my laptop. I'm not sure how you lose something like that, (maybe Caitlin hid it) but I have ordered a new one. As soon as I receive it, I promise to do a better job of keeping pictures updated.
