IT'S A GIRL!!!

Caitlin Mae Cushing was born Wednesday, October 14th at 11:59am. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. Both mommy and Caitlin are doing great. The family arrived home today and we couldn't be happier.

Now all we need is a baby!!! Two weeks to go and it's not looking like it's going to happen early.

19 days to go!!

So I have 2 1/2 weeks left before the little bambino arrives. I'm still feeling pretty good, but can get very uncomfortable sitting for an extended period of time. I guess that means the baby hasn't dropped much, so I'm working on that. (maybe jumping jacks will do the trick) ha ha.
The nursery is coming together with just a few things left to hang on the walls. Matt and I are both very excited about our new arrival and can't wait for everyone to meet him or her.
I have been 2 cm dilated for the past 2 weeks but they say I can stay that way for a month or more. If I get any further along, I will let everyone know. Stay tuned for nursery pictures. I promise I'll take some pictures this weekend.

I'm Spoiled!!!

What a fabulous shower thrown by Uncle Chris and Mom-Mom Cushing. Baby and I are blessed with wonderful friends and family. We got so many great things that will be used shortly. I have a feeling the baby will be with us in less than 3 weeks, but I will update everyone after my dr. appointment on Tuesday. Check back often for more updates. Another Great Shower!

I had another great shower thrown by my sister-n-law and aunt. So many wonderful people were there and I got lots of great things for Baby Cush.

What a great shower thrown by my best friends!! I got so much nice stuff and it ended with the perfect dessert.... an ice cream cake!!! Baby showers are so much fun!!

Fun at the Ballpark

We had a good time last weekend at the ballpark with Grandma and Grandpa Cushing. Even though we were at Busch Stadium, it was a good time. Matt's a Cardinals fan and I'm a Cubs fan so we'll see who Baby Cush likes.

Still Kickin'

Everything is good in the land of Baby Cush and Mama Cush. I had a check-up Tuesday and the heartrate was between 160-170. The doctor said everything is measuring great and the baby sounded perfect. The shots are going fine, but will be very relieved once I can stop doing that. I've started feeling a few more aches and pains, but the baby is kicking all the time which means he/she is healthy and nothing else really matters. I'll try getting some belly pictures and nursery pictures posted soon.

Some other news is that my BFF Kelly had her baby on July 28th. She had a baby boy Henry Allen and he's the cutest little baby on the block. He will be Baby Cush's new best friend in about 2 months.

New Baby Pics

I went to the specialist doctor yesterday and got a great report. The baby is measuring how it's supposed to and is almost 2 lbs. now. The heartrate was 165, which was higher than it has been, but still sounding great. Baby is doing great, but mom now has to take a preventative medicine for blood clots (b/c of my previous history) so that means a shot a day at home. Just the thought of needles in our house made Matt about pass out. He really needs to work on his fear of needles and hospitals before Oct. or I'm in big trouble!!
The sonogram pictures turned out great and I got my first 3D one. The top pictures are the face and profile and under those are the 3D one where you can see the chubby cheeks and the last one is the little foot. I'm sure the doctor knows what the sex is, but I made sure she didn't tell me, although the Grandmas were dying to find out.
