15 Months.... and loving life!

Just being silly!
Feeding her baby. Pete is supervising of course.
Helping mom with the laundry. Actually, she's waiting for another ride around the house in the basket. This is her serious face I guess.
...and look at that hair! I'm not sure what to do with it. It just keeps growing and growing and she won't keep any barrettes or headbands in her hair to keep it out of her eyes, and I'm just not ready to take her to get it cut.

I just took Caitlin for her 18 month check-up. The doctor actually said she's "perfect" which I knew already but it was fun to hear someone else say it too that's not related! She weighs 22 lbs. and is almost 30 inches tall. She wasn't the tallest girl at the doctor but she's growing well which is what's important.
I love spending any minute I can get with my baby girl because I know in just 12 short weeks I will be extra busy with our new arrival. I think she'll be a great Big Sister though! (But it's obvious that the clothes designers didn't have children very close together b/c it's impossible to find a big sister shirt in her size. It's all little sister shirts so if anyone can find one, please let me know where to get it.) Thanks

Aquadoodle is so cool....

Caitlin started off doing pretty good drawing on her aquadoodle (which is way cool, everyone should have one. mommy even liked drawing on it, sshhhhh!)
and then we started tracing her hands and feet...
and then she thought she should just draw on her feet and not the mat
(thank goodness it's just water.)
... but it was the most fun to use as a cape and run around the house chasing Peter!
What a fun Sunday.

P.S. Take note of Caitlin's outfit. Aunt Kel and Henry sent it in the mail and once
Caitlin laid eyes on it she wouldn't let me take it off of her. It must be pretty comfortable.

Potty Time!!!

So Caitlin has started going potty in the big girl potty chair!! She sat on it many times at home and of course actually went potty in it for the first time at the babysitter. Finally after 1 week at the babysitters, she decided she would show mommy what a big girl she is. I still can't believe she's actually going in it, but I'm not going to complain. I know it's early and that she really doesn't quite understand yet, but the less diapers I have to go through the better. We're still so proud.

Hangin' Out

Caitlin was enjoying hanging out with her toys in the toybox...
... and she's not quite tall enough to step in and out so it's kind of a struggle for her to get out. She did it all by herself though. It was pretty entertaining watching her work so hard at it.

She's 15 months already, I can't believe it. She is at such a fun age where she wants to do everything mommy and daddy are doing and she talks and talks like we know what she's saying but can only really make out a few words. But she shakes her head "yes" like we should understand and it's pretty darn cute.

I had a doctor appointment yesterday and everything with Baby #2 is great. The heartrate was as 152 and it was very loud and strong. We've got the boy name picked out but we're still working on a girls name. I'm up for suggestions. It's only a little over 3 months away and I told Matt that I'm not going to the hospital if we haven't decided on something.
We're starting to work on the new nursery a little at a time, but we've got a lot of stuff to organize and more around, it's going to take a while. Wish we luck that Matt and I don't kill each other before we get it finished:)
