We're Moving....

The month of January was very stressful and exciting for us. We found a house we liked right after Christmas and looked at it a few times. We decided that we wanted to make it ours. Last spring we tried moving and the house we wanted sold right after we looked at it so we knew if we wanted this house, we had to get it soon. On January 9th, we signed the purchase agreement to buy it. It was super exciting but scary at the same time since we still needed to sell our house. And with this terrible housing market, it was the risk we were willing to take. We called a few people that we thought may be interested in our house and nothing ever came of it. On January 30th, we officially listed our house. The following day we had 3 showings and 2 of them wanted to come back for a second showing. Wed, we got an offer in the afternoon that wasn't so great and by 8pm we had the 2nd offer. With a little negotiating, we accepted!!! Only 48 hours of the house being on the market and it was sold!!! We buried St. Joseph in the front yard and prayed to him every night that he would help sell our house and find a buyer for ours that would love our house as much as we have. God answered our prayers!!! Now we look forward to packing and moving, but not until April.

New House

Old/Current House
It will be very emotional to leave our home. We have shared so many wonderful memories there. Just to name a few: Matt proposed to me there, we brought our children home to that house, we celebrated many birthdays and holidays there, shared laughs and tears and the list goes on. We are looking forward to the transition to our new home and making many, many more memories.

  2. Congrats to you all! Moving can have a pretty big impact in your life. Aside from the monetary investment, there is the time spent, and the emotions and memories you have of your old house.

Still, don't be too disheartened. May your new house hold good memories and times as well!
